Ten Trends to Watch in the CIS Sector in 2010

Many companies across the communications infrastructure and services (CIS) sector managed to thrive in 2009, not just to survive, as burgeoning demand for a wide range of communications and outsourced information technology services enabled them to transcend the corrosive economic environment. The virtuous cycle of More End-Users x More Applications x More Bandwidth per Application is now well over a decade old, but still going strong, and has really shifted into high gear as the proliferation of applications, digitization and storage of virtually all data and media, and bandwidth consumption have taken off. We believe that this strong demand, set against a backdrop of rational competitive behavior and disciplined capital deployment, should drive profitable growth and returns on capital and will set communications apart from many other sectors of the broader economy. With the New Year now underway, Bank Street is pleased to present our list of Ten Trends to Watch in the CIS Sector in 2010, which we believe highlights many of the key factors that will drive financial, operational and strategic initiatives at a corporate level over the next 12 months and beyond.
